Welcome, May 2018

About the Print Cover

Sometimes the perfect dog photo just happens, as with fine art photographer Diane Costello of Fog Dog Studios in Half Moon Bay and her dog, Gromit. Costello had been antique shopping and found an old Polaroid camera. In studio, after a short five minutes, Gromit nonchalantly pawed it, and Costello captured the moment. About Bay Woof

Bay Woof is a free monthly newspaper for San Francisco Bay Area dog lovers. Our mission is to be the voice of the local dog community and an essential resource for people who love their pets — the wonderfully dense and diverse population of the San Francisco Bay Area.

It is available at vet clinics, pet stores, and other dog-friendly locations near you. We’ll be sharing our love of dogs as we bring you the best of the Bay’s canine news and views, each and every month. Readers will find engaging articles by local dog people, including the best and brightest of Bay Area pet professionals. Great graphic design makes the paper a visual feast, and you’ll find wonderful photos, drawings, and cartoons in every issue.

Articles cover a wide range of topics, including dog training and health, dog-friendly travel, dog sports, and all things canine.

Thanks and best wishes from the staff of Bay Woof!
