Welcome, February 2020

About the Print Cover

The beautiful dog on our cover this month is Keeva, an Akbash dog who belonged to Janet Davis. Davis writes about her love for the breed and her longtime efforts so save these noble guardian dogs throughout the United States as national director of Akbash Dog Rescue Inc. Keeva died in 2007. Davis took this photo about 15 years ago in Park City, Utah. “I was hiking with a friend, and we got lost and could not find the car,” Davis recalled. “And it started to snow. Keeva found the car for us, of course.”
