Painter Beth Bourland Sends Thanks

Fan Mail

I was at my vet, and there was Bay Woof! I appreciate the feature about my artwork [“Getting to Know You and Your Pet,” May].

I read the whole issue (although I’m not a dog guardian, I am interested in dogs) — very interesting stories! The “quiz” [“Test Your Canine Knowledge,” The Caninologist] was hilarious! And the photos / art were very engaging and pulled the reader into the stories and aptly conveyed the mood or concepts. The article about shy / fearful dogs [“Winning Over the Shy Dog,” Shelter Zone] was especially interesting!  And the cover photo was so funny — indeed that photographer captured a perfect creative moment. I enjoyed hearing about other artists’ inspiration and techniques [“Patience, Good Cookies, and Charming Subjects Pay Off” and “Self-Taught and Good at It.”]

Last but not least, the headlines were great!! Very engaging.
