SHELTERS
Shelters play a key role in the animal welfare community. In addition to housing homeless animals, many perform spay/neuter procedures, teach humane education in local schools, and provide training classes for new puppy parents, among many other activities. All shelters, including those affiliated with large national organizations, are responsible for their own specific programs and budgets, and they all need financial and volunteer support.
