Dalmatians originally became associated with firemen back in the days when fire trucks were pulled by horses. The Dalmatians would usually run alongside the horses to protect them from other dogs. Firemen also thought that they made good pets.

Rottweilers are near-sighted. Dobermans lose their sense of smell as they get older.

When it’s snowing, some Alaskan malamutes prefer to sleep outdoors and bury themselves under the snow so that only their noses are exposed.

Josephine insisted on allowing her small dog to sleep in the imperial bed, much to Napoleon’s dismay.
