3rd Annual WAG Dog Festival. Sat., May 11, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Gabrielson Park, Humboldt Avenue and Anchor Street, Sausalito. The event is free and includes vendors, raffle, nonprofits, and rescues; the Everyday Dog Show with categories like Best Wag, Best Bark, and Best Trick; plus demonstrations and food and beverages for sale (adult beverages as well).

Alameda County Fair Pet Food Drive. Wed., June 19, Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton. Help the Valley Humane Society by brining a donation to the Alameda County Fair and get free admission and $1 rides until 5 p.m. Donations accepted include: cat food (eight cans or 1 three-pound bag), dog food (four cans or one 3-pound bag), cat litter, heartworm preventative medicine, and puppy pads.

Animals on Broadway. Sun., May 19, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Broadway Plaza, 1275 Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek. Join ARF in celebrating the special bond between pets and people at this community festival. Bring the whole family — including your pet — and walk to save lives at the Pet Walk. Sign up as an individual or with friends as a team to help raise $100,000 for animals in need. The fun continues with raffles, demonstrations, and Pet Wellness Fair offering an array of health services for your best friend. CA Pit Bull Rescue Animal Fundraising Gala. Sun., June 2, 4-8 p.m., 411 26th Street, Oakland. Have some fun while raising funds for CA Pit Bull Rescue. Tickets are $50.,

Chihuahua Palooza. Sat., May 4, 1-5 p.m., Hayward Animal Shelter, 16 Barnes Court, Hayward. All adoptions are $25. Hayward residents can pick up small dog spay/neuter vouchers for 50 percent off.

Growl, Meow and Wine. Sun., May 5, 4-7 p.m., East Bay SPCA, 8323 Baldwin St., Oakland. Support the East Bay SPCA by attending this award-winning fundraising event full of food, craft beer, wine, and silent and live auction items. Guide Dogs for the Blind’s Graduation Ceremonies. Sat., May 11 & 25, 1:30 p.m. Guide Dogs for the Blind California Campus, 350 Los Ranchitos Road, San Rafael. Honor the independence and companionship that GDB’s exceptional guide dogs provide for the people they will serve. These services also allow GDB clients to meet the committed puppy raisers who cared for their canine heroes until they were old enough to begin formal training at GDB’s campus. Show up 20-30 minutes before graduations. Graduation-day public tours of the campus are offered at 10:30 a.m. or noon on the days of the ceremonies. Pre-registered bus groups are also welcome. Woofstock 2019. Sun., May 19, noon-5 p.m., Marin Humane’s Novato Campus, 71 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato. Give your dogs (and family) a rockin’ day to remember at Woofstock, one of the Bay Area’s grooviest dog- (and animal-) lover’s event. Music by Eagles cover band the Illeagles. Enjoy food, beer, and wine. Visit the Kid’s Zone. Explore event booths featuring local merchants. Proceeds benefit the animals at Marin Humane. Bitchin’ – A Show for Humans and Dogs, opening art exhibition reception, Thu., May 9, 7 p.m., CE Gallery, 3245 16th St., San Francisco. Creativity Explored hosts an opening reception for dogs and humans, including a dog’s-eye level exhibition. Exhibition runs through July 11.

Wine & Wags. Sun., June 2, noon-4:30 p.m., Livermore Valley. Join us for the 2nd annual Wine & Wags event. Livermore Valley’s dog friendly wineries host a day of fun for dogs and their owners across the region. Bring your friendly four-legged friends (on a leash, of course), and enjoy a day in beautiful wine country. Local animal rescues will be partnered with our wineries, promoting adoptions of their furry friends that need a home.
