33rd Annual Holiday Windows for SFACC and SFSPCA. Through Jan. 1, 2020, Macy’s Union Square, 170 O’Farrell St., San Francisco. San Francisco Animal Care & Control partners with the San Francisco SPCA and Macy’s Union Square for the 33rd Annual Holiday Windows. This is the first time that SF ACC will be part of the event. In addition to cats and dogs, this year’s Holiday Windows will feature adorable, adoptable small animals like rabbits, chinchillas, and guinea pigs. The windows remain open every day throughout the holiday season from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year, 239 animals found homes at Holiday Windows and more than $77,000 was donated to support the SF SPCA’s year-round lifesaving programs. SFSPCA.org, SFAnimalCare.org.

10th Annual Christmas with the Critters. Sun., Dec. 8, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Rancho Las Lomas, 19191 Lawrence Canyon, Silverado. Christmas with the Critters is a fun, festive day with crafts, holiday music, a bounce house, Santa, and watching the animals open their Christmas presents. Plus, keeper talks, holiday shopping, silent auction, lunch, and beverages. Cuddle Experiences. Sun., Dec. 8, 12-2 p.m., Macy’s Union Square, Seventh Floor, 170 O’Farrell St., San Francisco. This year, the SF SPCA and SF ACC are hosting two special Cuddle Experiences. Visitors can snuggle with adoptable animals. $10 gets 10 minutes of snuggles. Cuddle sessions are available first come, first served. SFSPCA.org,

Doga at Pup Plaza. Sun., Dec. 8, 10-11 a.m., 14408 Union Ave., San Jose. Participants will learn about bonding with their dogs through Doga. While guiding the yoga practice, the Doga instructor will provide moments throughout the class for participants to bond, reward, and breathe with their dogs. The instructor will provide suggested cues for the leash and various opportunities during class to check-in and reconnect with their dogs. Class fee is $15. Register on website: PupPlaza.org.

Furry Friends Rescue Pet Photos With Santa Paws & Holiday Photos 2019. Sat., Dec. 7, 1-4  p.m., Pet Food Express, 12900 Saratoga Sunnyvale Rd., Saratoga. Join Furry Friends Rescue for the  fun annual Christmas Pet Photos with Santa Paws. Enjoy holiday treats, a dog showcase, and music. Get your photos taken with Santa Paws or a Christmas backdrop. Includes one sitting, a 4×6 print in Holiday Frame Card, and original photo download (for print or digital use). One photo sitting $20; two photos sitting $30; three photos $35. Goatlandia Holiday Dinner at Wildseed. Fri., Dec 12, 6 p.m., Wildseed, 2000 Union St., San Francisco. Wildseed hosts a holiday dinner with cocktails from Lauren Fitzgerald and wines from our friends at Unti Vineyards. Meet like minded animal lovers and support Goatlandia, a local Sonoma County nonprofit animal sanctuary. Tickets $125. Goatlandia.org.

Guide Dogs for the Blind’s Graduation Ceremonies. Sat., Dec. 7 & 21, 1:30 p.m. Guide Dogs for the Blind California Campus, 350 Los Ranchitos Road, San Rafael. Honor the independence and companionship that GDB’s exceptional guide dogs provide for the people they will serve. These services also allow GDB clients to meet the committed puppy raisers who cared for their canine heroes until they were old enough to begin formal training at GDB’s campus. Show up 20-30 minutes before graduations. Graduation-day public tours of the campus are offered at 10:30 a.m. or noon on the days of the ceremonies. Pre-registered bus groups are also welcome. Holiday Plant Sale. Sat., Dec., 7, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., 1250 St. Charles St., Alameda. ’Tis the season to choose a climate-friendly gift — like a dish garden or a splendid single pot. Alameda Support Foundation invites you to join it for the Holiday Plant Sale benefitting Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter. Mutt Lynch Yappy Hour at Pup Plaza. Sun., Dec. 8, 2-5 p.m., 14408 Union Ave., San Jose. Silicon Valley Pet Project and Mutt Lynch Winery in Windsor team up for a wine happy hour with Wines That Give Back. The wine is now on sale through Mutt Lynch Winery in Windsor (and their website). SVPP will receive 25 percent of the sales price of each bottle.

Nice Jewish Dogs Calendar Launch Party. Sun, Dec. 8, 12-3 p.m., Anchor Public Taps. 495 De Haro St., San Francisco. The Crazy Jewish Dog Moms invite you to the Nice Jewish Dogs Calendar Launch Party. Come schmooze with the Nice Jewish Dogs Calendar models and friends at this dog-friendly Hanukkah launch party.
