This year, Bay Woof readers nominated potential winners in the contest’s open-ended phase one component. Then we pitted the top vote-getters in all categories against one another for phase two, allowing readers to vote a second time on their favorites from the top-tier nominees. The results list winners and runners-up in community, web, food and drink, shopping, health and wellness, canine services, and shelter and rescue categories.

This is one very public and high-profile way that Bay Woof, its readers, and Bay Area dog lovers get to say good job, thanks, and way to go to all the hard-working, often-underappreciated, amazing canine-related industry representatives in the region who do what it takes—and then some—to keep the dog tails wagging, the canine smiles spreading, and the belly rubs and head pats coming.
